NidoPix app for iPhone and iPad

Photo and video viewing app designed for small children

My kids love viewing family photos and videos but its been a constant hassle to prevent them from deleting or sharing those memories. For a while I have used iOS Guided Access, marking parts of the screen as inaccessible for them but even then you have to be careful and cover the exact screen regions in both portrait and landscape views.

To solve all this I have created NidoPix app which allows kids to view all photos and videos in current camera roll and PhotoStreams (if explicitly configured). The configuration as well as everything else but photo and video viewing is hidden behind a parental gate.

NidoPix:

* NEVER transmits in any way to anyone, anybody or anything, in whole or in part, your photos or videos
* NEVER allows your children to share your photos or videos to social networks
* NEVER allows your children to delete or otherwise modify your photos or videos
* NEVER displays any ads to your children
* NEVER tries to sell your kids anything as there are no in-app purchases (though there is a gift-this-app link behind the parental gate)
* NEVER engages in any kind of invasive marketing (e.g. requests to rate the app, post your endorsement online, etc.)
* NEVER collects any kind of identifiable information

NidoPix does collect irreversibly anonymous usage information per my Privacy Policy (you can find detailed information there on what exactly is collected)

As with Nido, NidoPix was designed for my kids and I wouldnt offer any less protection for other peoples children.
